KIDS COUNT is a national and state-by-state effort, funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, to track the status of children in the United States. By providing policymakers and citizens with benchmarks of child well-being, KIDS COUNT seeks to enrich local, state, and national discussions concerning ways to secure better futures for all children. Montana Kids Count is one of fifty-one projects throughout the United States. The project is a collaborative effort to collect data concerning Montana’s children and families. By providing policymakers and citizens with the best available data on the well-being of all children in our state, the Montana Kids Count seeks to improve the lives and the futures of all our children. This data provides baseline measures that show both progress and problems in the educational, social, economic, and physical well-being of the children in our state. |
