Missoula, Montana at the Holiday Inn-Parkside

The University of Montana
    Economists, analysts, students and others came together alongside
the Clark Fork River at the Holiday Inn-Parkside in Missoula, Montana.

    The conference began Thursday morning with
Nigel Gault of Global Insight presenting the national outlook,
followed by an economic outlook panel with forcasters from different
states and provinces.

    The conference theme was "Opportunities and Challenges
in the Pacific Northwest Hinterlands." There were panel
discussions and paper presentations in:     The conference ended early Friday afternoon with the Tiebout Lecture by John Cromartie, a geographer with the USDA Economic Research Service.
