Economic Outlook Seminars Refund and Cancellation Policy


  1. Cancellations made for any reason at least two (2) business days prior to the day of the seminar are acceptable and qualify for a full refund.

  2. Cancellations made less than two (2) business days prior to the seminar are subject to a partial forfeit of the registration fee at the discretion of the Event Planner. For a regular $85 registration fee, typically all but $40 will be refunded and the registrant will be given a one year subscription to the Montana Business Quarterly (MBQ). If the registrant would like the seminar materials mailed out, all but $50 will be refunded.

  3. Forgetting the seminar or not cancelling ahead of time will result in a forfeit of the entire registration fee, with exceptions made at the discretion of the Event Planner. The registrant will be subscribed to the MBQ and given the option to receive the seminar materials in the mail.



Group Registration Policies


  1. Groups are made up of 5 or more people.

  2. The group discount rate is $55 per person (regular $85).

  3. The group discount does NOT include a subscription to the Montana Business Quarterly.

  4. Group members do not have to attend in the same location to receive the discounted rate.

  5. Groups smaller than 10 are welcome to register online using our group registration form.

  6. Large groups or groups with special requests may download the registration template and email it to Perri Taylor, Registration Coordinator at perri.taylor@umontana.edu . Please include:

    1. Company and a contact person,

    2. First and last name,

    3. Location attending,

    4. Continuing education credits requested (Include Realty and Insurance License #), and

    5. Email address for each member.

  7. Once your group is registered, please make substitutions over the phone or via email rather than online to avoid duplication and confusion.

  8. If a member of your group cannot attend the Seminar at the last minute due to illness, emergency, etc., you may send a substitute in their place. The substitute will be asked to complete a registration form at the door.

  9. Our policy does not allow individuals to switch to a group registration after they have registered for a Seminar at the regular rate.

  10. While we can add non-registered individuals to an existing group, we appreciate receiving all group registrations at one time.

  11. Montana Insurance Continuing Education Program and the Montana Board of Realty Regulation require license numbers for each individual requesting credits. If members of your group would like CE credits in these categories, please provide their license numbers.





Continuing Education Credits Policies


  1. Each year the Bureau seeks approval to offer Continuing Education Credits from the following organizations:

    1. Montana Society of CPAs, 4 credits

    2. Montana Board of Real Estate Appraisers, 5 credits

    3. Montana Board of Realty Regulation, 3 credits, require license number at registration

    4. Institute of Certified Management Accountants, 4 credits

    5. Society of American Foresters, .5 Category 1 & 3.5 Category 2 credits

    6. Montana Insurance Continuing Education Program, 2 credits , require license number at registration

    7. Montana Teacher Professional Renewal Units, 5 credits

    8. Montana Board of Social Work Examiners and Professional Counselors, 2 hours

    9. Human Resources Certification Institute for PHR, SPHR, and GPHR, 4.25 Strategic Credits

  2. There is a charge of $30 for the administrative costs associated with gaining permission to offer the credits and the costs of either submitting your credits online (Montana Board of Realty Regulation and Montana Insurance Continuing Education Program) or sending you a certificate in the mail so you can submit your own credits.

  3. To receive Continuing Education Credit Certificates we verify attendance at the seminars.

  4. Continuing Education Credit Certificates are sent out in March.

  5. The Continuing Education Credits fee are subject to the same cancellation policy at the the registration fee. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy above.
